First, you need to have a TV (obviously), but while getting a great TV is really going to improve your viewing experience, often times you'll find that a surround sound system which is up market and well configured will actually improve your experience more than a few extra inches on your TV. Surround sound systems range anywhere from £50-250 in cost, and some are also more difficult to set up than others. Electronics and appliances can become unwanted for a number of reasons; whether a new iteration of the same thing has become available or if it has simply stopped working, but this doesn't mean that the value is completely gone from the device. In fact, old electronics can still hold a lot of value, even if that value just comes in the form its recycle value. Most electronics use precious metals and other slightly less expensive materials in order to function optimally, such as gold being used in your phone, and if you wait until you have large number of devices to turn in for good, you can actually recoup a fair amount of money. So just because your device has just broken and has no chance at being resold doesn't mean that you should just put it in a bin set for the landfill, as by recycling it you could make a bit of money.

Creating a Superb Home Cinema

A home cinema room can be a nice option in a home, and with today’s technology there’s no reason why you can’t bring the feel of a movie theatre into your home. There is certain audio visual technology you’ll need though, if you want to make your home theatre a success. Obviously a large HD display is a must, especially if you want to enjoy quality Blu-ray movies like you’re at the cinema. You then need surround sounds and preferably a stereo left speaker and a stereo right speaker at both sides of the room. A subwoofer would also be a nice addition, and it will give your theatre some energy when the big action scenes take place. In some cases, you may then want rear left and right speakers too and a centre unit, but this may depend on the size of the room and how much you want to annoy your neighbours. Creating a Boomcase

If you haven’t heard of a boomcase we’re going to give you a brief introduction. It’s essentially a vintage suitcase that’s been transformed into a boom box system. This will involve cutting holes and installing amplifiers, bass speakers and standard speakers, and they can look great in many homes, yet they can be portable too and fitted with batteries. Boomcases are not necessarily difficult to make, especially if you are a DIY enthusiast but you have to know your electrical cables, and you do have to plan the look of the case carefully, choosing equipment that’s fits nicely into the shell of the case. A well-made boomcase doesn’t come cheap, but they’re easy to make and you can find many different guides online if you’re stuck for ideas, but make sure you test the sound first and choose a case that’s solid and classically styled.

Microsoft Hololens

Microsoft unveiled a new product at their unveiling of Windows 10 which effectively stole the show: the Hololens. This product is a kind of blend between the Oculus Rift and Google Glass, and will be integrated with a lot of Microsoft's existing products, including Bing search, Cortana and Xbox. google-76522_640 The Hololens projects holograms into the real world through an eye-set, much like the google glass product, but all of the people who've had the chance to try it out so far have concluded that it is a far better product. The primary means that you can use it with will be through Cortana, which is quite frankly the best voice recognition software around. In addition, it will be integrated with Xbox to perform a lot of the same functions as an oculus rift head-set, with the addition of a lot more functionality besides this.
